Happy Wrinkle-Free Wednesday! Today’s easy and stress-free recipe is a delicious sweet treat that will let you stick to that ‘healthy eating’ New Year’s Resolution! Such an easy pick! There are no carbs so you don’t have to feel as guilty about this yummy indulgence.

This post is formatted differently because I whipped up these cinnamon baked apples on a whim last night when I realized my chocolate stash was already depleted. (Oops!) 🙂 So obviously, I didn’t take step by step pics but it turned out so good, I couldn’t wait to share!

Hint: Use one apple and one tablespoon of butter per serving, so if you plan to make this for your family or a dinner party, just increase the number of apples and you may want to increase the baking time.

Now, on to this fabulous easy picking treat!

Need:
1 Pink Lady Apple (these are naturally sweet but you can use the apple of your choice)
1 tablespoon vegan butter
1 Splenda packet
5 sprinkles of cinnamon
Oven preheated to 350 degrees

Hollyized Steps:
1. Wash and thinly slice the apple. I kept the skin on to keep the extra nutrients but you can always peel yours.

2. Lay the apples slices down flat in a square pan.

3. Divide the one tablespoon of butter among the apples. I just put my butter in four different areas to make it easy. You will remove the pan once the butter melts, so it’s not a big deal if butter is not on every apple now.

4. Sprinkle the cinnamon and one Splenda packet on all the apples. Remember that a little bit of cinnamon goes a ALONG way!

5. Put your pan in the oven for approximately five minutes or until the butter is melted.

6. Once the butter is melted, remove your pan from the over and use a spatula or spoon to mix the melted butter with the cinnamon and Splenda. You’ll want to make sure each apple slice is coated with the now syrupy sauce.

7. Once all the apples are coated in the sauce, put back in the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the apples are soft.

8. Remove from the oven and enjoy! Clean-up is really easy too, so this healthy and yummy dessert WILL really keep you wrinkle-free!

  1. Ditto on Laura Eddington's comment regarding Splenda. It is really really nasty stuff and there are many safe low or no calorie options.
