FOR YOUR HOMEtour

welcome: the grand tour.

I’ve never been a person big on New Year’s Resolutions- what’s the point? First of all, a majority of my life I defined the ‘New Year’ as the first day of school. January 1 always fell in the middle of Christmas vacation so the New Year was just another party and on-set of weight loss commercials that interrupted toy commercials or crazy fun infomercials.

This year, however, is a New Year.
This year I am out to conquer the one basic life skill (well, one of a handful of things) I am bad at… cooking! The thing about me is that I yearn to be domestic- that perfect and thoughtful “hostess with the mostest.” Instead I’m the girl that almost gave 12 people at a dinner party in college food poisoning from undercooked Chicken Parmesan (true story) and maker of many dishes my own family wouldn’t touch. Now, I’m a successful yuppie professional who has only mastered three dishes: lemon pepper salmon (my favorite!), tomato soup and scrambled eggs.

I would like to invite you to follow my adventure this year. Please note I am NOT copying Julie & Julia with this blog but instead find this as motivation to accomplish my resolution. My goal is to turn my culinary and domestic ‘would’ into ‘could’ and also help others along the way.

Without further ado, welcome to my kitchen and new classroom!

Here is my beloved Viking stove, which will soon be my new best friend!

And the important side of the kitchen- microwave, wine and fridge side!

Sorry everything looks so small, my camera has AMAZING zoom for events but not so much for blogs.
